Gilles Peterson Presents: Havana Cultura - New Cuba Sound

Not only is Cuba home to one of my favourite drinks (Havana Club Rum in case you're interested) but it is also home to some pretty darn good music too. The man that is Gilles Peterson has created this compilation, which has been almost a year in the planning and following a whirlwind trip to Havana he recorded this record at the legendary Egrem studios. Due for release on 26/10/2009 featuring collaborations with top Cuban pianist Roberto Fonseca and Vince Vella it has resulted in 28 tracks with 20 artists over 2 albums.

Counting down the days.....
Worldwide festival 2008 "the aftermath" from Morzy on Vimeo.
Been stuck at home today in bed with an annoying bug. So my mind has been wandering to July when I am off to Sète in the South of France for The Worldwide Festival. The full line up isn't even out yet but with Carl Craig, Jimi Tenor live, Laurent Garnier live, Diplo, Soil & Pimp Sessions live, Todd Terje, Mocky live, Stereotyp's Ku Bo Project, Sebastien Schuller live, LeFtO, The BpM and Gilles of course already confirmed I am already a little excited and I still have over 3 months to wait. Check out this video from last years event for a taste of what to expect.
Peace Hoggy
